{"id":1,"date":"2020-09-17T00:01:55","date_gmt":"2020-09-16T22:01:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/weesperzijde190.nl\/en\/?p=1"},"modified":"2022-12-09T14:37:54","modified_gmt":"2022-12-09T13:37:54","slug":"concept-urban-development-plan-larger-leeuwenburg-area-approved","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/weesperzijde190.nl\/en\/concept-urban-development-plan-larger-leeuwenburg-area-approved\/","title":{"rendered":"Concept Urban Development Plan larger Leeuwenburg area approved"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In 2020, the municipality of Amsterdam approved the Concept Urban Development Plan for the larger Leeuwenburg area and made it public for consultation.<\/p>\n<p>This milestone is the result of months of hard work done by Vastint Netherlands in close cooperation with the municipality.<\/p>\n<p>The Concept Urban Development Plan concerns a larger area, of which Vastint Netherland\u2019s redevelopment project Leeuwenburg is part of. That whole area \u2013 including one of the most important public transport hubs in the Netherlands \u2013 will be redeveloped and densified in years to come. The plan includes the addition of up to 2,100 homes, up to 94,000 m<sup>2<\/sup> office area, 7,500 m<sup>2<\/sup> of amenities and 15,000 m<sup>2 <\/sup>of new greenery.<\/p>\n<p>Leeuwenburg\u2019s contribution to that will be around 400 homes, approx. 52,000 m<sup>2<\/sup> of high class office space and public amenities on the ground floor. Vastint Netherlands is planning to partly demolish and rebuild the existing building and partly redevelop it. In total, the new building will hold approx. 88,000 m<sup>2<\/sup>, doubling the current volume.<\/p>\n<p>Currently the building offers a gross floor area of approx. 42,000 m<sup>2<\/sup> above ground, making it one of the largest buildings in Amsterdam.
