Vastint Netherlands has acquired ownership of the Leeuwenburg building in Amsterdam from the seller Van der Vorm Vastgoed.

Setting up construction site
In this phase, the construction site is set up with security cameras, construction fences, and construction buildings
Start interior demolition phase
This phase starts with a 'soft demolition', during which the inside of the building is dismantled
Determination of zoning plan by city council
Completion phase 1 - demolition phase
The demolition was successfully completed in June 2023. In total, over 5.2 million kilograms of material were dismantled, of which 97% was recycled or reused.
Start phase 2: asbestos remediation
Asbestos removal is expected to start in November 2023.
Completion phase 2: asbestos remediation
The asbestos remediation was succesfully completed in March 2025. A total of 303 tons of asbestos-containing material has been removed. In addition, 42,000 m² of screed flooring was also removed, resulting in an impressive recycling rate of 99.42%.
Start phase 3: façade dismantling
Part of the facade dismantling is:
• Carrying out a trial demolition in September 2024
• Drilling lifting holes
• Dismantling the facade with lifting chains
• Bringing down the facade elements
• Transporting all facade parts
