Last week, Weesperzijde 190 hit a new milestone as the tower crane was installed on the roof, right through the shaft of the future goods lift. A bold piece of engineering that will soon become the backbone of the site’s vertical logistics.
With a jib length of 65 metres, the crane can cover a significant part of the construction area. From dismantling the existing façade to installing the new façade and constructing the building’s extensions, the crane will play a key role in every next phase of the transformation.
All while preserving the building’s iconic brutalistic character.
